Post 2: My Pets

Hi! On this occasion I will write about my pets and what is it that makes them so special for me. I have two dogs, Juana and Ron, and a cat called Romero, I say 'have' instead of 'own', because I dislike the idea of pets being of one's ownership, I'd rather think of them as family members.
My oldest pet is Ron, a poodle-like, caramel brown dog, he's old and grumpy now but he's still the first one to greet anyone that enters my house. I found him abandoned in a park, the guard there told me the dog had been there for a week so I decided to adopt him. The other one, Juana is a black and brown mongrel she-dog, she's called after Joanna of Castile, because she has crazy, human-like, pale blue eyes. She appeared three years ago alone, lost and scared right oustside my house and I took her in while me and my family tried to find her home. After asking around the neighbourhood we concluded that she had been abandoned instead of lost so we decided to let her stay. As for my cat, he's completely black with green eyes, a friend of mine adopted him from a stray cat shelter, but his family wouldn't let him keep the cat, he asked me to adopt him and I agreed. This happened last year and Romero was just a kitten back then, now he's full grown and very sociable as well, however he likes to get on Ron's nerves.
I think that the only animals suited to be pets are the ones that aren't harmed by being domestic, provided they don't damage their enviroments as well. The most important thing is that pets need to be loved and taken care of. I also disaprove of pedigree dogs, not the dogs themselves but those who are to blame for their breeding. Personally I wouldn't have any pet unless its a dog or a cat, not because I dislike other animals but because I really like cats and dogs.
